Planet Hulk (SMASH THAT ASS!)

Planet Hulk is the story of how a man is sent out into space by Earth's protectors as to get rid of him forever. Unfortunately, or fortunately for Hulk, the plan goes a rye when his ship lands on an alien planet and he survives. The planet Sakaar is living in an age no different than that of the Romans. Warriors from around the universe are enslaved and forced to fight for the entertainment of the king and his people. Hulk is taken captive and impresses with his strength and ferocity. He takes out all the warriors and a monster. Bruce is stuck in his Hulk state and is unable to turn back, likely because of all his hatred towards S.H.I.E.L.D. in putting him in this situation and his violent thirst for revenge. The Hulk is stuck in between Bruce and Hulk. He is able to communicate freely and think logically. When not threatened he is at peace, for the most part. I'm sure he is battling his inner demons. Hulk forms a pack with some of his fellow slaves. Their plan is to take over the kingdom and free all the aliens from the evil king, return to Earth with these warriors and seek revenge on Iron Man and the rest of Earth's heroes who dare get in his way a'la Quentin Tarantino

This series features WONDERFUL art direction by Carlo Pagulayan and script by Greg Pak. There are some comical moments as well. Other Marvel heroes also make a cameo appearance in this series to much surprise although I won't spoil anything. Just trust me, they're powerful heroes and probably the only ones that can really hurt the Hulk. This is a story about revenge, rising up, growing up and love. The ending forms a great surprise and a really cool start to a new Marvel hero. I highly recommend this book. It is a real prize in my comic and overall book collection. Even if the only illustrated novel you've read are Mous or The Watchmen, this is sure to keep you as entertained.

I rate this collection 5 out of 5

I thought I'd grown out of comic books, but this seems like it's worth giving a shot.
