Shock and Awe

I asked some online buddies to recommend me a book. My expectations were low because of their sense of humor and random comments, but HOT DAMN, (this is my jam Keep me partying till the A.M.). The list below is what was submitted without editing, as i copy pasted it. I am unable to choose because everyone feels their recommendation is the best for me, so, i want to write one title down on an individual slip of paper, place them all in a hat, and pick at random; unless someone out there has an idea(?)

Some tasty-lookin' titles there!

I used to have a similar problem deciding which CDs to play from my vast collection!

So what I did was create a system, cos - y'know - that's what daleks do, create systems haha ;)

Take today's date as a seed (so today's seed would be 13) - then select the 13th CD on from the last CD I selected. So using that approach I'd select books from your list like this:

"Midnight's Children"

then if that took me a couple of days to read, after that I'd be selecting the 15th on from there:

"The Creatures from Jekyll Island"

... and when I got to the end of the list, I'd loop around to the start again.

It's worked pretty well for me, and saves me having to waste time thinking about how to make choices - just leave it to fate instead!
